How do I start earning cash back?

To earn cash back you will need to have your own MoreEco members account and be logged in. Using the links provided, click on the retailer of your choice (do not use retailer news links) and this will take you to the retailers home page. From this point onwards  you will be on the retailers site and shopping as normal.

You will not pay extra and your warranty and guarantee will be with the retailer as normal. The only difference is that you started your shopping by clicking through from MoreEco.

Does it cost me anything to be a MoreEco member?

MoreEco holds back the first £5 you earn in a year as a membership fee, after that all the cash back you earn is yours.

When do i pay the membership fee?

A £5 membership fee will be deducted from your MoreEco account whne you have accrued sufficient funds for the 12 month period following your date of joining and annually thereafter.

Who can join MoreEco?

Anyone over the age of 18 and living in the UK.

How long will it take to be paid?
Payment speed varies from retailer to merchant but the average time is 30 days from the date of your purchase.

What is your minimum payout?

To try to keep administration to a minimum we have a minimum pay out of £25. When your account reaches this level, simply log in and request payment from us.

How do I receive my cash back earnings?

All the cash back you have earned is detailed in your account. Once you have earned £25 (after membership fee) you can redeem your cash. You will be given four options on what to do with you cash back earnings:

1) Request a cheque for 100% of your earnings.

2) Donate a % of your earnings to ClimateCare, who invest in carbon saving projects.

3) Donate a % of your earnings to EcoAcres, who will purchase and protect rainforests throughout the world.

4) Donate a % of your earnings to EcoverWaterAid, who enable communities in Ethiopia access to clean water.

Why do rewards vary between each shop?

The level of the reward varies between shops because some retailers are more generous than others and hence may wish to give more back to MoreEco customers. This also makes them a more attractive proposition to you.

Do I pay more with the Online retailers I choose?
No you do not. The prices they show you are their standard rates.

How long will it take for me to get my MoreEco cash back?

Your cash back is awarded when your purchase has been verified by the retailer and subsequently by the MoreEco team. With some retailers this takes a few days but with others it can take up to 60 days. If you have any problems please contact us.

Is moreeco.co.uk a shop?

No MoreEco is a green and eco shopping cash back site. We search the internet for the best organic, green, environmental, and natural online retailers and negotiate with them a reward level which can be passed on to the MoreEco registered users. Once you have chosen your shop click through and then you are taken to the retailer’s own site and will be dealing directly with them from that point.

What is the security code and how does it protect me?

People who send large amounts of unsolicited email ("spam") are always looking for new email addresses to add to their lists. One way they do this is by using a computer program to input random email addresses to a website just to see if they are active or not; they then add the active ones to their lists. The security code you see in the box has been purposely distorted so that it can't be read by these computer programs.

What are the best practices for consistent tracking?

• Ensure you have Cookies enabled as most tracking is done via cookies.
• Clear your cookies and cache, disable pop-ups and image-blockers.
• Log into your account with MoreEco and click on the retailers link.
• Do not open any new windows or tabs or click links in any other windows that may have already been open.
• If you must visit another site before completing the purchase use another browser.
• Only use discount codes from MoreEco as other sites will load their own tracking and your cashback will be attributed to them.
• Try to complete your purchase in one go, as cookies can expire which will result in a loss of your cash back.

I am missing a MoreEco cash back I have earned. What should I do?

MoreEco cash back's are usually credited within 60 days when our partners confirm you have made a purchase from them. If your MoreEco cashback has not been credited within 60 days, please e-mail our support team who will look into this for you.

My retailer has told me they don't have a relationship with MoreEco
This is actually quite a common enquiry. Please can we respectfully point out that we would rather you didn't hassle the retailers about your cashback. This will only annoy them and may lead them to dropping their cashback program altogether. Also, as you may have just found, many members of staff with any particular retailer may not be aware of all of the marketing techniques employed by their company.

MoreEco works with the main UK affiliate networks and we list the retailers who have agreed to offer an affiliate commission via these agencies. We therefore don't work directly with most retailers, but via an affiliate network. We can assure you however, if a retailer is listed, then they are running a cashback scheme.

Can I donate my MoreEco cash back to any good causes?
Yes. You can either do this when you request your cash by donating a desired % to EcoAcres, EcoverWaterAid and/or ClimateCare. Alternativly take a look at our 'Environment & Society' shopping category.

What is carbon offset?

"Carbon offset is the process of reducing the net carbon emissions of an individual or organisation, either by their own actions, or through arrangements with a carbon-offset provider."

What Co2 projects are you involved in?

Visitors will enable us to offset Co2 by funding projects around the world. These projects ensure that real reductions in Co2 emissions are made which would not otherwise have happened.

These involve:

• Renewable energy - replaces non-renewable fuel such as coal

• Energy efficiency - reduces the amount of fuel needed

• Forest restoration - absorbs CO2 from the atmosphere as trees grow

How is offsetting my CO2 going to help reduce the threat of climate change?
Climate change is one of the most serious threats facing global society. We all need to make every effort to reduce our carbon footprint as much as we can; we should offset the emissions we can’t reduce now.

Offsetting tackles climate change by:

• Making real reductions in amounts of CO2 in the atmosphere that would not have happened without us.
