The Environmental Transport Association was established in1990 as an ethically alternative motoring organisation and sustainable travel lobby group.
The ETA is now Britain’s largest charity focused on transport and the environment.
Their aim is to raise awareness of the impact of excessive car use and help individuals and organisations to make positive changes in their travel habits.
They continue to be a completely not-for–profit organisation; their sustainable transport campaigning and environmental projects arefunded by the revenue from the services they provide.
These include an international breakdown service, which has won awards from both Ethical Consumer magazine and the Green Fleet awards, plus a number of ethical and carbon neutral insurance services
The ETA recognises that cycling is themost environmentally sound form of transport.
