Recycled Iron Wok

At Eco Trend Spotter, we like to cooking and the weekly organic stir fry’s is a must.  Now to boost our eco credentials further Biomelifestyle have launched this range of eco-luxury cookware is made from 75% recycled cast iron. The pans are literally ‘naked’ and free from enamel or tefal coating, which often chips over time reducing the lifetime of the pan. This also means that no chemical substances are released, even when the pan is heated to over 300degrees Celsius. Instead, the oxide film produced naturally on the surface prevents the pan from rusting and also offers a non-stick surface which is great for cooking.

These eco pans are made using a traditional Japanese artisan craft combined with modern design and are proving  to be highly popular in Japan with two leading restaurants converting all their pans to the range. This is due to the fact that the food cooks quicker, retains the flavours of the food and the pans heat is evenly distributed.

Restaurants are then able to save on cooking time, but also less gas or electricity energy when cooking, enabling the restaurant to take positive steps towards being environmentally conscious.  Not forgetting recycled cast iron is used in manufacture and they are recyclable as well! They can also be used in the oven or on the hob, providing the ultimate versatility.

The pans are made with care, consideration and most importantly developed to ‘last a lifetime’.

They can be purchased for £150.00 from BiomeLifestle.
